Lagos is a beach town located in the south of Portugal that we have been hearing about since Scotland. It has a reputation for being like a black hole; you come for three days and stay for three weeks, so we booked ourselves in at The Rising Cock hostel for five nights just to be safe. We made ourselves at home right away and again met up with people we had seen in Seville, including an Aussie girl named Marika, who we went exploring the city with. We went for a hike along the rugged coast line and were pealing off the layers in no time from the heat. All of us were very tempted to take a dip in the brilliant blue water until sudden rainfall started and we were forced back to the big comfy couches of the hostel. The marina is lined with palm trees decorated for Christmas which seems odd without snow or the chill of a real Canadian winter, but we are dealing just fine!
